In this week's issue of the paper, we covered the top 10 real estate deals of 2011 based on sale price.But, as is common in the real estate industry, the businesses behind most of the deals created limited liability companies for legal reasons that actually buy the land. They are usually inscrutable, such as ARC GEMSKW1001 and LPF 10100 Kenosha LLC. Oftentimes, buyers build the LLC names around the property address or acronyms of the name under which the companies operate. Sometimes businesses will include their address when setting up LLC's with the state, but in many cases the only contact info is the name and address of an attorney who handled the paperwork...
