The University of Connecticut has proposed its own penalties for failing to meet academic standards on its men's basketball team, if the NCAA will allow the Huskies to participate in the 2013 championship tournament.

Ike Azotam scored 17 points and Quinnipiac used a big second half to rout Central Connecticut State 72-44 on Wednesday night. The Bobcats put the game out of reach with a 17-2 run in the second half to take a 57-33 lead after a Jamee Jackson basket with 9:59 to play. The lead remained more than 20 points the rest of the way.
